A highly capable machine, the Blueair 501 has all the Blueair 601 features, but it's designed for a smaller room.
It uses HEPASilent technology which combines HEPA filtration and electrostatic to capture airborne particles. This unit does not produce ozone.
Housed in a galvanised steel construction, the stylish Blueaire 501 has 4 fan speeds. You can choose between two filters to suit your needs - the particle & gas or smokestop (for ammonia gases and tobacco smoke removal).
It's recycleable filter is easy to change. This air purifier has a long 10 years extended warranty.

The Bad.
It's not small. Around waist height.
Blueaire 501's filter is not true HEPA but is a actually a HEPA like media
Costly filter replacement cost ( need change every 6 months ). Not really good at removing odor. Has no filter replacement indicator.

THE BOTTOMLINE.
Blueair 501 is highly efficient. A good choice for cleaning the air - if you home doesn't have odor problems and you can maintain the filter replacement costs.
